Check the harvest (page), the farm fruit is seasonal or call for availability.

Check-in at the farm stand, get a basket, proceed to picking area, pick only ripe fruit, and pay for what you pick.

Treat everything at the farm with respect and courtesy. Pay attention to the signs. When in doubt ask the farmer.

Plan ahead: No family pets allowed for safety reasons (Service animals are welcome).

Dress Appropriately: Wear comfortable sturdy closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Dirt plus rain can equal mud, so boots are recommended.

Bring Essentials: Water, sunscreen, and hats are good ideas, especially on hot days. A jacket on cool days.

At the farm:

  • Check In: Report to the farm stand to receive information about varieties, picking instructions, and directions to the fields.

  • Designated Areas: Pick only in designated areas and avoid climbing trees or bushes, as this can damage them.

  • Pick Ripe Fruit: Berries that come off easily are ready to pick. Apples that feel heavy for their size and with a slight twist fall off are ripe.

  • Be Mindful:  Avoid tugging or pulling too hard, as this can damage the tree or knock off other fruit.

  • Be Respectful: Please don’t chase the farm animals and ask permission to pet them.

  • Pollinators: Bugs, bees, spiders, and other pollinators have a special role on the farm and without them we wouldn’t have fruit - respect them.

  • Safety Precautions: All farms have uneven ground and dirt pay attention. Please don’t disturb the bee apiary (hives). Keep an eye on the kids.

  • Don't Pick Fruit Off the Ground:  Avoid picking fruit that has fallen to the ground for food safety reasons.

  • Sampling: Try a sample but be respectful. Rain, dirt, and critters all leave a little behind. It’s a good idea to wash fruit.

  • Return to the Stand: After picking, return to the farm stand to purchase your fruit.

  • Farm House: Please stay away from the house and pool, we live here.

  • Have Fun: Remember that u-pick farms are a great way to enjoy fresh local produce and have fun with family and friends.
